has a bit of rust, otherwise, pretty clean.

Man, a lot of people scoff at cars like that but I think it's pretty incredible seeing clean older mid 80s to mid 90s cars. The other day I saw an insanely clean Cavalier wagon and I almost lost my shit.
It's one thing to have a clean older "nice" car, but it takes a special person to have a clean older "POS" car.

is that because it's raining?

Since it's in a handicapped spot, I presume it's an older person who bought this car new, and has been driving it ever since.
Wonder why the rear quarter panel is a slightly different color than the doors. Replacement panels, or uneven paint wearing?

I agree, I often love seeing econoboxes in good shape. I even occasionally freak out when I see VW Beetles and equivalents in Brazil. Those things kept puttering along for 30-50 years, and can still look decent with care.

probably paint wear, and the plate is an older style with 3 numbers and 3 letters, before they switched to the current 4 letter prefix-3 number plates, so that elderly theory is valid.

I lived in a Dodge Dynasty in 2001. For a few months. At least I had a job and a place to shower...

Haha, My Wife's 89 y/o grandmother has a Dynasty; it's gold with 60K km (37K miles), lives in a heated garage, and is only on the road for three months each summer. Last time I drove it all the electrical worked, the trunk and engine were spotless and the interior looks brand new.
I also like to see interesting cars that owners have taken car of.. it's depressing to see all the dirty beige new cars on our street, and people who think my 2005 is an 'old' truck..
I remember two years ago the old couple who lived down the street growing up were moving into a home closer to their kids, they pulled their *mint* 85 S10 blazer out of the garage and put a for sale sign on it.. I had never seen it on the road and it was in amazing shape. If you had time to find the enthusiasts you could've gotten good money for it. Unfortunately they didn't have time and they started out at $10K and pretty quickly ended up selling it for $2K.. I hope someone put that one away but it is probably jacked up and broken in a yard by now..

And in the handicap spot, so that all seems to check out. The owner probably bought it for herself as a 62nd birthday present in 1990.
